A recent warning has been issued by many tour operators to tourists about the travel conditions in Himachal Pradesh. All tourists traveling to Himachal Pradesh were warned to avoid travel in the current conditions.
According to the recent information provided by the Disaster Management Authority of Himachal Pradesh, 22 link roads and 3 major National Highways have been blocked. This is because of the heavy snow and rain which caused havoc to these regions.
The three major national highways that are blocked are NH5 in the Kinnaur region, NH305 in the Kullu region, and NH003 in Lahaul and Spiti district. The major cause of these disruptions is the landslides and flash flooding that was triggered by heavy rainfall.
Traveling to these regions by road is very dangerous as of now and all tourists are advised not to travel during the rainy season. Many news reports are coming about the small landslides happening all over Himachal and Uttarakhand. Starting from October, the weather is expected to improve and tourism is expected to return to normal.
