Another landslide near Mandi district crushed 2 vehicles on Chandigarh-Manali highway

No lives have been lost in the landslide.

The news of landslides is coming in from different parts of Himachal Pradesh. Yesterday, the landslides blocked the Chandigarh-Manali highway near Pandoh in the Mandi district.

According to the reports, two vehicles got crushed due to the falling boulders. However, there has been no loss of life so far. Heavy rainfall has been observed throughout the regions of Himachal Pradesh and Uttarakhand. The rains are expected to continue in the coming weeks as well. The bad weather conditions are expected to bring in more landslides and flashflood in the region.

The state government of Himachal Pradesh has urged tourists not to visit in the coming weeks. The tourists that are already stuck in Himachal Pradesh due to blocked roads are waiting for the roads to clear up so they can go back home.

Night travel has been banned during the rainy season and the highways have been closed leading to Manali, Kullu, and Mandi. In many parts of Himachal Pradesh, a state of emergency has been announced alerting tourists to avoid visiting the hills.
