The minister of Jharkhand, Joba Majhi said that people should not believe the rumors regarding vaccines and should get vaccinated to protect themselves. The state government introduced a vaccination camp in the city of Chakradharpur where the people were given 1 liter of free petrol in exchange for a vaccination shot. Considering the rising prices of Petrol in India, people found this initiative rewarding. However, there are still people in Jharkhand along with many other cities in India who are hesitant about vaccination. Also, several cases of health problems have been circulating on Social Media that made people more scared of the vaccines. It is reported that around 240 people were given 1 liter of petrol after getting vaccinated. According to the officials, this is being done to get more people motivated to get vaccinated. In many villages of Jharkhand, there have been reports of health workers being attacked by the villagers because of vaccine hesitancy. Many people still believe that the vaccines will cause major health problems in them and the doctors not giving enough information in regards to vaccine safety.
