Cold wave grasps, even bad weather condition expected till Jan 24

Weather in Himachal Pradesh has been severe since the past 2 weeks.

Places like Una, Bilaspur, Sirmaur, and Kangra districts have been warned by the Met Department about heavy rains from 21 to 24 January. Also, higher regions expect snowfall.

Shimla (Himachal Pradesh): Meteorological Centre Shimla on Thursday informed that several parts of Himachal Pradesh are under the intense influence of cold waves. The weather is expected to be bad till 24 January. The minimum temperature has dipped comparatively and snowfall and heavy rains are on the way.

Sandeep Kumar, a scientist at Meteorological Centre Shimla explained that from the last 24 hours the weather in almost the entire state was challenging. It was raining in the lower regions and the higher regions witnessed snowfall. Kullu and Shimla districts along with other parts received Snowfall.

The minimum temperature recorded was low as -7.9 degrees Celsius in Keylong and 7.6 in Ponta Sahib was the maximum recorded temperature.

Incoming heavy rains are expected in Una, Bilaspur, Sirmaur, and Kangra districts between the 21st to the 24th of January. The warnings have been issued.
