Delhi schools closed due to severe air pollution

The Air Quality Index (AQI) in Delhi recorded 382 today.

Delhi remains to be one of the most polluted cities in the world. The past few weeks, Delhi has been witnessing smog and severe air pollution. The pollution crisis has been a cause of concern for the environmentalists and residents of the city.

Schools in Delhi have been closed until further notice after considering the heavy air pollution. The students will continue their online classes until further notice. The air pollution in Delhi has been recorded the worst ever as it is way above the highest severity level. It has been a cause of many respiratory diseases among the residents of the city.

During the Covid lockdown last year, the air quality of Delhi significantly improved. As per the health experts, it is an emergency in Delhi as the air quality drops to a dangerous level. The major cities near Delhi are also suffering from heavy pollution. Cities such as Haryana, Uttar Pradesh, Rajasthan, and Punjab have also seen a drop in the air quality index.

The Air Quality Index (AQI) recorded 382 today. The government officials are having a meeting to discuss the possible solutions to help counter this crisis. However, the situation is very difficult to manage as of now and the winter smog will continue to create health problems among the people of Delhi.
