Chief Minister of Goa has been constantly trying to start tourism in Goa. However, the government had many setbacks due to the increase in the number of new cases. The government was not able to come to a final decision in regards to opening Goa for tourism.

On Monday, the Chief Minister said that the hotels in the state will remain closed for another month. The hotels are expected to be opened in the next month of July. After the ease in the lockdown, Goa was expecting the domestic tourists to travel to the state. With this decision, another month of delay will disappoint many tourists who were planning to go to Goa.

According to the tourist department, many inquiries were received where people were asking about when the state will accept people. The Chief Minister said that the tourists from within the country are ready to travel to Goa. He is hopeful that the upcoming season would be good for Goa.

Many guidelines have been announced to limit the amount of people gathering at one place. Restaurants will be allowed to function with only 50% of people. Several other small establishments will also open from next month.
