Chief Minister of Himachal Pradesh gave an announcement yesterday about opening up the places of worship, hotels and restaurants next week. This announcement was made after the business community requested the government to help them restore their sources of income.

The government made this decision and also stressed the safety protocol that will be implemented strictly. Proper social distancing policies will be applied to all business operations in the state. Several other safety-related plans are being considered as well.

People from other states are will not be allowed to visit the places of worship. This decision was hard for the government since the state has reported a total of 340 coronavirus cases. This happened because of the allowance for inter-state travel. Many passengers traveled with the virus into Himachal and caused the virus to spread.

The lockdown until June 30 is still applicable to all the other areas. The movement between the states and districts will be limited. Also, the screenings are being done at various points of entry to ensure the infected people are sent to the quarantine.

The curfew timings are still in place with some relaxation. Now the curfew timings are from 6 am till 8 pm.
