Yesterday, there has been news about India imposing a mandatory 1-week quarantine for all international tourists. This also includes tourists who are fully vaccinated. A report came from the Association of Tour Operators in Russia.
This decision was taken to contain the spread of the Covid-19 as there has been a huge surge in the new cases. After the one-week quarantine, the international tourists will have to get a paid RT-PCR test done. This is quite an inconvenience for many tourists but this rule will be implemented strictly in the coming days.
Some of the health officials say that this rule applies only to tourists visiting from the ‘high risk’ countries. But as of now, there is no official announcement by the Indian government. The following news report talks about the recent information released by the Associate of Tour Operations in Russia.
