Indian medical experts warns of the third wave of Covid

Due to the upcoming festive season, the tourist influx is likely to increase.

The research done at ICMR (Indian Council of Medical Research), shows that the cases of Covid are likely to increase in the coming months. With the upcoming festive season of Dusshera and Diwali, people are very likely to attend social and public gatherings. This could trigger a new wave of Covid-19 infections.

Also, tourism activities have increased significantly in India. Domestic tourists are traveling extensively as these people have received a full vaccination. Medical experts warn of the new cases that will multiply with more and more people traveling in the popular tourist destinations.

Many tourists destinations such as Goa, Rajasthan, Kerala, and others have prepared themselves for the new influx of tourists in the winter season. The number of bookings has increased and a steady flow of new tourists has been observed. Although safety guidelines are in place, still with the overcrowding of the tourist destinations, the infections are likely to increase.
