This unlocking phase will begin from the 1st of July and more lockdown restrictions will be taken away. However, educational institutions will remain closed due to the rising number of COVID cases. It is likely that the schools, colleges and all the places of large gatherings such as stadiums, auditoriums, and cinema halls will remain closed for several months to come.

The Indian Railways will start more special trains between the most important destinations. These specials trains are most likely to be from Bhopal to Lucknow and Kolkota to Varanasi. The government has asked all the states to submit suggestions for the most necessary routes that need additional trains. As far as the normal train services, they will not start and regular travel will not be allowed between the States. The special trains will only carry passengers who carry special permissions to travel due to emergency reasons.

The domestic air travel will increase as more flights will be allowed within the country. According to the recent reports, the second phase of unlocking restrictions will not include the resumption of international flights. But there is a possibility of allowing some selected flights from France, Germany, the US, and the UK. The Indian government is in the process of discussing the bilateral agreements with the above-mentioned countries. Special carriers flights will increase to bring in the stranded passenger: Both India and Non-Indian.

In the coming week, more details will be revealed in regards to the unlocking procedure.

The following news report from CNN News 18 from last week mentioned the meeting between the top ministers to discuss what to allow in the coming unlock phase.
