Tourism event called “Ladakh: New Start, New Goals” is inaugurated

The event is focused in developing sustainble tourism and rural development.

The tourism minister of India, Mr. G Kishan Reddy visited Ladakh to inaugurate an event which is considered a ‘Mega-tourism event’. The event is called “Ladakh: New Start, New Goals” and it is held in Leh city. The is event will be broadcasted through social media channels.

The event will be a 3-day event starting from 26th-28th May. All major stakeholders in the tourism of Ladakh will be present at this event. The main aim of this event is to promote tourism and help tourism startups to get the required assistance to start their ventures.

One of the major initiatives to be promoted through this event is the sustainability of all tourists activities in Ladakh. Rural tourism and environmental sustainability are the focus of all development in Ladakh.

Pandemic has stalled all the development and sustainability of the tourism businesses. After this event, many new initiatives are expected from the government to help the local people sustain their businesses and develop a sustainable economic model.

More details will be released in the coming weeks about the announcements regarding the investments in Ladakh. All these investments will be focused on sustainable tourism and rural development.
