Tourism Minister of Goa warns action against tourists consuming drugs

The announcement is the result of the ongoing drug investigations going on in Maharashtra.

A recent statement was made by the Tourism Minister of Goa where he said strict action will be taken against people who consume drugs. He specifically mentioned the tourists who visit Goa. With the recent increase in the number of drug busts in Mumbai, the government of Goa is now preparing to increase scrutiny against tourists.

In the official statement, Mr. Manohar Ajgaonkar said, “We don’t want people who take drugs.”. It is possible that this can lead to unnecessary harassment of tourists. In the coming weeks, international tourism is expected to start. With the start of international flights, the influx of tourists will increase.
