Uttarakhand’s famous three-day food festival starts from today

This food festival will promote the local cuisine of Uttarakhand.

If you are in Mussoorie, you’re going to have the time of your life. A three-day food festival is being organized at Mall Road in Mussoorie from today. This festival is organized by the Uttarakhand Tourism Development Council (UTDB). The main attraction will be the Pahari cuisine, cultural programs, live bands, and Uttarakhandi folk dance.

There will be various types of competitions arranged for people and winners will be rewarded with cool prizes. Pankaj Bhadauria,  India’s first Master Chef will be adding flavor to the event. Anubhav Sapra, a famous food storyteller will be engaging with the crowd and enable people to share old traditions related to food with a new perspective.

The products and dishes will depict the culture of Uttarakhand perfectly. The Uttrakhand is called Devbhoomi (Land of gods) in India. This was proudly mentioned by Tourism Minister Satpal Maharaj. He also added that the state government is also committed to promoting tourism, Pahari cuisines, and products.

Adding more relevant information to the details on this, Tourism Secretary Dilip Jawalkar said that given Christmas and New Year, the number of tourists from the country and abroad has started increasing in Mussoorie. He further added that tourists should visit the festival to enjoy the Pahari dishes in the food festival, whereas special preparations have been made for this by the tourism department.
