Virtual tours of the Kashi Temples of Varanasi to start soon

The project is expected to be finished by the end of September 2020.

The city of Varanasi has plans to develop virtual tours for all the temples of Kashi. This project has been sanctioned and will be known as the Virtual Experiential Museum (VEM). The development of this ambitious project will be done by the Man Mahal.

Because of the lockdown and also due to the lack of tourists this project will give a detailed tour of the temples along with the rich culture and spiritual history of the city. The government is very excited about this project is very optimistic about the many tourism benefits the project will bring.

The site will be developed as a museum with the web connectivity for 60 ancient temples along with all the important sculptures located in the Kashi-Vishwanath area. The virtual museum will help visitors to get information in regards to the artifacts and the temples.

The museum will be developed with the help of the Banaras Hindu University & Department of History and Arts & National Museum of Archives. The virtual tour will have the 3D capability and high-resolution photographs.

The project is expected to be completed by the month of September of this year.
